Make Ministry a Habit
Until you have the habit formed, studying the lesson (or reading the Bible) becomes a hit-and-miss effort.
So, how does one go about forming a habit?
Try this two-step:
Step 1 – Create an Accountability Cue by Verbalizing your decision. Say it Out Loud. Tell your family, friends, co-workers.
Step 2 – Create a Visual Record. Print a month calendar and mark each completion of the action.
You’ll need to make the calendar visually obvious – where you won’t overlook it – and where spouse and children can see it. Ask for their support in noticing the successes and complimenting you on the stick-to-it progress.
Goals that are not verbalized are often abandoned.
